So I haven’t been watching this but was laid up recently so thought I’d binge watch. Pretty enjoyable up until this season, and they definitely emphasized the gratuitous nudity and dragons to keep “some” people interested. Then this season - little, if any, gratuitous nudity, a horrible How to Train Your Dragon sequence, a battle plan drawn up by idiots, a complete failure to scout as you are getting ready for war, lack of continuity with prior seasons, etc. It’s like they forgot everything that made the show popular and are just trying to wrap everything up as soon as possible because everyone has other stuff to do. So I guess it’s back to spending more time on Oppo instead of working!

I never watched it, so I’m immune from disappointment.

Ugh don’t get me started on battle with the night king. A scrub Bronze league SC2 player could do a better job planning the battle

Fully agree. Been watching it since 2012. Story writing has been sloppy and rushed in s8. They are banking on shock value and characters are well...behaving out of character. Not to Disney movie like someone sweeping in at the last moment and saving a major character. This is GOT! If someone is overwhelmed and about to die, they should die. My worst pet peeve is how the Dragons are being misused. You have a fucking living nuclear bomber use it like its meant to be, woman!

They’re definitely writing for shock value now.
But now that we’ve gone through episode four, I’m scared shitless about their answer to Kimmel about where they’ll be during the finale.
They are going to fuck it up.

Good point. Considering time does not move in a linear fashion in GoT it could have been a trash drink like that.

I agree, the plot isn’t making a lot of sense and it feels rushed and the battle was bad, poor planned and too dark and unsatisfying, especially with all the buildup to it over the years.
